A live training experience with Lucinda Green
and say good bye to:

The Confidence Bank Account
Every time you ride XC, you are either topping up your horse's Confidence Bank Account or occasionally withdrawing from it.
Your aim is always to be filling that bank account.
This is not about quick fixes. It is about learning how to develop the kind of horse who understands the question, wants to answer it, and believes in the rider showing him the way.
After XC week
By the end of XC Week, you’ll understand what your horse needs to become a safer, more confident XC partner and what you can do to help him develop. You will know how to:
You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of what to train, why it matters and how to help your horse approach his job with greater confidence.
Grassroots to internationalWho it's for
XC Week is for riders who want to become a clear, fair and consistent XC mentor to their horse. A rider who develops feel and instinct, and keeps their horse’s best interests at the forefront. It is for you if:
XC Week is not just for riders who have a problem. It is for riders who care about how their horse's trust is being developed.

I am Lucinda Green
Again and again, I have seen that true XC confidence is not created by force. It is developed through trust, clarity, consistency and progressive training.
I was lucky enough to win at the very top of the sport, but the greatest lessons I have learned about horses did not only come from competing. They came from decades of teaching riders and horses all over the world.
That is why I created the Greenprint™. It is the foundation I return to whenever a horse or rider needs more confidence, more understanding, or a clearer way forward.
XC Week is your chance to spend five days with me looking at how to develop a horse who trusts you, looks for the fence, stays on his line, thinks for himself, grows in confidence and believes in you.
Five days, live with Lucinda
You will be welcomed into the XC Week Community. You will receive your welcome video, simple tech instructions, guidance on how the week will work, the chance to introduce yourself to other XC riders, and instructions for uploading videos to be considered for video critique.
This develops trust, belief and clarity.
Discover the five essential foundations every horse-and-rider partnership needs for safer, more confident XC riding. And how you can train these at home on your own.
You’ll begin to understand why problems at fences often start before the approach and how progressive training can help your horse become more confident, capable and independent.
This builds initiative and responsibility.
This session is about not dominating the horse, not over-riding and not taking away the very initiative that makes a great XC horse.
Lucinda will use video analysis and rider critiques to show how horses read and answer XC questions, how they use their bodies and how riders can help by allowing the horse to do his job.
Most XC problems are not random
Lucinda will talk through some of the common challenges riders face, including ditches, skinnies, corners, combinations, trakehners, water, steps and banks.
She will help you understand what may be causing the problem, what the horse may be seeing and how engine, line, balance, confidence and preparation can affect the outcome.
She will also look at making the time and explain why this is not simply about riding faster.
This day brings the previous days together.
One good schooling session is not enough. A confident XC horse is built through the whole season, every year of his life, through planning, fitness, schooling, competing, reviewing and knowing when to push, when to repeat and when to protect your own and your horse’s belief.
Lucinda and Rachael will look at how riders can fit XC training around dressage, show jumping, fitness work, competitions and everyday life.
This session will show you how to keep filling the Confidence Bank beyond XC Week and how the right support around you can change the way you ride, train and compete.
We will also introduce a simple AI element: how riders can use AI as an organisational assistant to help plan training, track progress, prepare for competitions and claw back time in the week.
AI will not replace Lucinda, your coach, your vet, your farrier or your own judgement. Used well, it can help you make better use of the expert guidance you already have, stay more organised and free up more time for your horse.
XC Week will give you an overview of the principles. The Lucinda Green Competition Academy is where we will help you apply them throughout the full competition year.

No. XC Week is not just about fixing problems. It is about elevating the way you already ride and train, so your horse’s confidence keeps growing rather than being chipped away.
XC Week is for riders who are already interested in XC and want to train more thoughtfully. It is perfect for grassroots riders, riders with young or green horses, riders moving up the levels, and riders who want to build a better XC partnership. We also have riders competing at the International Level.
No. You do not need to be out competing every weekend. But you should be interested in XC and want to understand how to prepare your horse properly for it.
There will be an opportunity to upload videos for possible critique. Not every video can be guaranteed a full critique, but selected videos will be used to teach the group, so everyone can learn from what Lucinda sees.
XC Week gives you the foundation and the shift in thinking. If you want continued support through planning, fitness, XC training, competing, reviewing, making the time, horse management, rules and expert guidance, you will be invited to continue inside the Lucinda Green XC Academy.
